Generation Project Development and Construction
Power Team Consulting personnel bring vast power project experience across a broad range of technologies. Typical roles for us include Owner’s Representative, Project Director / Project Manager, Discipline Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical / I&C, and Civil), Regulatory, Project Services, and Indigenous Relations. Our team establishes or supports project development, procurement, contracting, and execution strategy. Using Thermoflow™ software, we can simulate gas-fired projects and estimate costs, leading to project conceptual design and specification.
We are used to working with and managing Owner’s Engineers, EPC, and EPCM contractors and regulatory consultants, scrutinizing their activities and maintaining the interests of project Owners. We have developed and negotiated many contracts for engineering services, project execution, major equipment procurement, and long-term service agreements.
We not only bring exceptionally strong project experience, but also come with an extensive background of power generation operations, maintenance, and resolution of engineering issues experienced over the life of generating stations. This unique perspective equips us to specify project features with long term reliability and availability in mind and to negotiate service agreements from the perspective of those who have overhauled, maintained, and improved equipment over its life.
Generation Asset Acquisition
Power Team Consulting’s experience with operating fleet management provides great strength when assessing generation asset acquisition opportunities. We draw upon this expertise when undertaking due diligence assessments, appraising maintenance programs, and assessing operational and maintenance history.
